This AN/PEQ features functional IR caps that work on both the light and the green laser, as well as a separate IR illuminator, allowing it to be used with infrared-sensitive devices such as night vision devices.

- AL - Lamp, lights up only after pressing the button
- O - Lamp, double press turns on the device without holding the button
- P - LASER mode, double press turns on the device without holding the button
- AL - Lamp and LASER, double press turns on the device without holding the button
- DL - IR illuminator, double press turns on the device without holding the button
