AKMS model by GHK represents the highest, currently possible, quality among replicas based on Soviet constructions and equipped with GBB system. Practically all metal elements were made from steel: including the receiver, dust cover, outer barrel, front sight and rear sight base. The pistol grip was made from polymer, as in the live firearm original. The cradle and gas pipe cap were made from high quality, lacquered plywood. 

Materials used result in the replica looking truly spectacular while the steel structure provides it with significant weight and considerable durability.

The gun was made with the utmost care for details and the resemblance of the live firearm original. The implemented blow-back system is 'heavy' in operation as is expected of a AKMS type gun, thus guaranteeing a significant sense of realism both for the user and observers. It is undoubtedly the biggest advantage of this model, which can be most felt when firing in fully automatic mode. 

The magazine included in the set store up to 40 BBs and is inserted in a way more similar to the original than other AEG guns. The gunis powered by Green Gas. The gas container is located in the magazine, however, its valve was discreetly hide at the magazine base. 

AKMS is definitely the best choice for any enthusiast of Soviet military interested in a GBB gun.
