The Spyderco knife features a laser-cut snap-tip blade with a 14mm Spyderco round hole for quick deployment and gloved use. The texture above the opening keeps the thumb in contact with the spine of the blade during cutting for assured control over the sharpened edge. The scale handles are Digital Camouflage G-10 with a lock insert embedded (insert) directly into the scale, increasing the strength of the lock without adding bulky inserts. The spacers between the scales create a gap along the length of the handle that exposes the inner workings for inspection and cleaning. The handle widens slightly at the front end to create finger cushioning and at the rear end to prevent the knife from sliding forward or backward in the hand when sawing or making hard or aggressive cuts. The shaped black metal clasp is designed to be worn in the right hand with the tip down.
